- HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid
- HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Course Outline
Target clients of this qualification are new entrants to the security industry seeking to obtain a security officer’s license and potentially a crowd controller’s license.
Legislation in Queensland requires persons working as security officers to be licensed. The Office of Fair Trading administers and issues licenses to successful applicants. Successful completion of HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid is a mandatory requirement for licensing.
Whilst the theory and concepts are covered in the course, ours courses are focused on the various practical skills needed to administer first aid. Underpinning knowledge and case scenario assessments are given to the client to complete prior to attending the practical face-to-face component of the course. This allows the client to study the theory at their own pace.
All our courses use a very “hands on” approach where theory is learnt while performing scenarios relevant to the client’s industry. We use a theatrical approach to the role plays to make them appear very realistic. Mix and match games, group activities, video and PowerPoint presentations making our courses interactive and a very enjoyable learning experience.
